Yea - finally got a Ref done! The mare above's horn it a little large/thick - I'll have to go back and fix that if I can.
For anyone interested - her name is Miste, she is a member of the Guard and holds the position as Night Scout. Her shadowy coloration is an asset for slipping undetected in the twilight hours. Miste is a somber and serious mare who keeps mostly to herself. Many a young stallion has courted her but she has not yet chosen to Dance with any of then.

Species: Elerrassë

Class: Unranked

General: Unicorn breed, conformation is that of the Arabian type, abundant thick mane and tail, NO feathering/beard or cloven hooves. Horn is centered on the forehead slightly above the eyes, can be of varying hues.

Coloring: All natural colors can be found in the species, both solid and patterned - however basic herd members MAY NOT BE WHITE OR CHESTNUT. These two colors only occur in Mages and Healers - please see seperate reference sheets (coming soon) regarding those rare individuals.

Eye color: Can be any shade or hue, only Mages and Healers have restricted eye colors.

Dye patterns: Elerrassë are fond of having patterns dyed into their coat by their talented little Li'Ken servants. Any pattern imaginable is possible, from a few select designs to a full body pattern. Single or multiple color combinations are common - however certain colors are reserved for certain classes - they are...
White - Only may be used by the Nobles
Blue - Only used by Mages
Green - Only used by Healers

Adornment: Elerrassë are rather fond of jewelry, baubles, and anything that will enhance their appearance. No saddles and bridles of course - as they are not ridden (the Li'ken couldn't manage it if they tried) as they are the ruling race in their world.

Purpose: Unranked Elerrassë make up the bulk of the population and most join the Guard, which patrols the surrounding lands and deals with any threats (info on beasties coming soon). Others who may prefer to take the peaceful path become Heralds, Tale-Spinners, Singers, Dancers, etc..

Elerrassë are a highly intelligent species with an advanced culture, they co-exisit with another race, the Li'ken. The Elerrassë offer their small companions protection from predators and in exchange the Li'ken serve as builders, craftsman, and artisians. Because of this longstanding relationship between the two species they have been able to evolve past living openly in the plains and into a type of city. They are accustomed to the finer things - elegant architecture, beds of fine cloth, meals with exotic plants...

Elerrassë relationships: It depends on the individual's preference - some flit around from one partner to the next, while others may find that *one* special soul-mate that they bond with forever. They have an elaborate courting ritual referred to as the "Dance" in which the stallion will try to impress the mare with his ability to perform complicated manauvers (similar to Haute Ecole type movements) if the mare is impressed she will join him, signifying her acceptance.
