Stick woven belt 2

A black/white varigated belt made with the ancient technique of stick weaving. This particular belt was made with a black/white homespun wool yarn.

This is a very simple method of weaving and is easy to learn, with pretty fast results once you get into the rhythm of it. It's a gret way to make SCA period belts, or the strips can be sewn together to make larger things like throws, rugs, chair pads etc.
