If you don't want to hear me blabber on about personal stuff you can skip this journal. LOL

Anywho...
I am so excited - we are moving Legacy to a new barn this Saturday. *jumps for joy* Now there wasn't anything wrong with the place I currently board at - actually it's gorgeous, great price, and good people. However it's about 45 minutes away from my house, which with the current gas prices means that I don't get to visit my little horsie as much as I would like.
This new place is MUCH closer - 5 miles away from the house to be exact, it's a lovely Hunter/Jumper training barn called "Sport Horses of Rohan" (gotta love that). They even have the USET's Jerry Schwartz come once a month to give private lessons and a clinic.

Plus it's a FULL care place that does turnout daily in the 15 acres of pasture, blanketing, pellets twice a day and all the hay they can eat. They have two outdoor arenas (jumping and dressage) plus a lighted indoor arena, a 50 foot rond pen, and they are working on a cross-country course. And most importantly the owner is a woman that I clicked with immediately! I think we were talking for about an hour before my fiance dragged me away for dinner. LOL
She even wanted to know if I would be interested in teaching her beginner students on weekends if I wanted to. Plus she loved the whole idea of the medieval games and really wants to work with me to put together something for her students to practice on and have "medieval play day" type events to take a break from the regular shows.
On another subject - my fiance and I found a better place to have our wedding reception at on 10/31. Their prices were much more reasonable than the other place we were considering, the food was great, and the building was really cool - an old brick schoolhouse built in the early 1900's restored and turned into a banquet hall/restaurant. It'll be a blast to decorate.

Besidess working on the wedding plans and getting my horse-child closer to home I've been sick as a dog. Bleh - some sort of virus that's left me with nasty painful deep chest coughs. The doctor said since it was a virus all I could do was take some robutussin and wait it out.

Not the fun thing to do when it's 80+ degrees out (with 80% humidity) and you'd rather be in the nice cold pool or doing something fun. No, I get to sweat my buns off all day cause we don't have A/C - or rather we do have central air, but my step-dad refuses to turn it on. Grrrr....
I can't wait till we get our own place again. Still looking around for the right house though - and since I need about 3-5 acres (more is better) it's going to be a slow process.
Hugs to everyone who listened to me babble on.
